Virtually no online property is exclusive to Canadians, making it necessary to comply with the advertising rules of other countries. Beyond that, most value the trust of their readers above all else and feel full disclosure is important.
That said, I highly doubt there is a single Canadian online who isn’t aware that sponsorship can play a significant part in any blog or social media post. Disclosure is great, but there’s no need to go overboard with notification. That will only annoy consumers and accomplish little else, other than complicating both compliance and enforcement.

I wonder how they will differentiate between when there is a payed sponsorship and when a blogger legitimately wants to promote a product because they find it useful in their lives or want to give a brand props for being awesome. It will be interesting to see what comes of this and how it is regulated.
